ississippi’s Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Board presents this comparative data through the 3rd quarter of 2021 to keep stakeholders of Mississippi informed as a reminder that enforcement of the state’s dig law is real and ongoing.
Enforcement of the law involves training first and escalates to civil penalties for repeat violators. Through the 3rd quarter of 2021, civil penalties totaling $22,000 have been issued.
